Book Artist, Ellen Knudson
Each cloth is made from fabric patterns designed by Ellen Knudson. Sewn by the artist on her Janome sewing machine. Each towel has a cotton hanging loop in the corner and a woven logo tag on the front. Fabric was printed at Spoonflower on Lightweight Cotton Twill fabric.
The Illustrated Bookmaking series is built from dozens of drawings created by Ellen Knudson. The diagrams illustrate the steps to make a variety of book structures and book arts projects. Ellen created repeat patterns using some of these drawings and created handmade dish or hand towels from the cloth.
